Saturday, 29.09.2012 : Cartoonist EP Unny of the Indian Express has just
checked the tip of my chiselled marker. Minutes earlier, he stuck out to me his drawing
pad that was full of line drawings on Bruce Petty, the world renowned
cartoonist and caricaturist from Australia. The simple lines that showed Petty
drawing on the Board, on the pad, over the projector were a delight to watch ,
when seen interwined with thicker line.
Caricatures were attempted before and after finishing the Vada soaked in the richest
Sambar available in Kochi. The first attempt ditched me, only to be salvaged
somehow minutes later by a simpler one.

Cartoonist Unny EP of the Indian
Express, arguably the best political cartoonist in the country today is
allotted a room by the Bharath Tourist Home front office whenever he pops in ,
a legacy settled over a quarter of a century of short stays that would not
extend over a day at the hotel looking across to the Siva Temple, Ernakulam.
This is
the third in my tries on the lanky cartoonist. Masters pardon me. I omitted to
draw two small lines, very very vital that would have simply given the added
bulge that define the cartoonist. Oh, how shabby I felt.. :(
